Jim is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Lineweaver family of companies, an independent wealth management consortium serving high-net-worth individuals, families, and corporate clients. Since 1993, Jim has guided clients through complex financial decisions with a disciplined, fiduciary-first approach focused on long-term security, retirement readiness, and legacy planning.
Jim founded all the Lineweaver companies with a clear mission: to provide comprehensive wealth management through coordinated investment management, tax strategy, estate planning, and risk management. By bringing independent financial, tax, legal, and insurance professionals together under one roof, the firm delivers a holistic and objective advisory experience designed to address the full financial picture. This integrated model allows clients—particularly those nearing or in retirement—to make confident, well-informed decisions amid an increasingly complex financial landscape.

He also hosts the long-running weekly television segment The Financial Quarterback℠, where he educates viewers on retirement planning, tax strategy, investment risk, and broader wealth management topics in a clear, practical way.
Jim is a Million Dollar Round Table Life Member and was recognized as Top of the Table for 15 years—honors reserved for the highest-performing professionals in the financial services industry. He holds a degree in finance from Cleveland State University and completed advanced business studies at Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Business. As a Certified Financial Planner™ and Accredited Investment Fiduciary®, Jim adheres to rigorous fiduciary standards and evidence-based investment principles that guide the Lineweaver investment management process.
Beyond his professional work, Jim and Lineweaver Financial Group are deeply committed to philanthropy in Northeast Ohio, supporting organizations such as Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, the Cleveland Clinic, the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, Benedictine Academy, and the Ben Curtis Foundation. Jim has also served as Vice Chairman of the Better Business Bureau of Greater Cleveland and on its finance committee.
Jim and his wife, Kathy, are Ohio-based and divide their time seasonally between New York and Florida, allowing them to remain closely connected to clients and communities in each region. They are the parents of three adult children.
