Mark has more than 30 years of experience in investment management, financial services, and education funding strategies. His career reflects a deep commitment to disciplined investing, thoughtful planning, and helping individuals and organizations make informed financial decisions.
Mark brings a strong institutional background to his work with clients. Prior to joining Lineweaver Financial Group, he served as a portfolio manager at Fifth Third Bank, where he managed equity portfolios for qualified retirement plans, nonprofit organizations, trusts, and retired individuals. In this role, he was responsible for portfolio construction, risk management, and aligning investment strategies with long-term financial objectives—experience that continues to inform his client-focused advisory approach today.
In addition to his professional investment experience, Mark has a passion for education. He previously taught investment principles and portfolio strategy at the University of Cincinnati, helping students develop a practical understanding of markets, risk, and long-term wealth building. This academic perspective enhances his ability to clearly explain complex financial concepts and guide thoughtful decision-making.
Mark earned his undergraduate degree in Finance from Miami University’s Farmer School of Business and later completed his MBA at the University of Cincinnati. His education, combined with decades of hands-on investment experience, allows him to bridge strategic planning with real-world application for clients navigating retirement planning, investment management, and long-term financial goals.
He has also demonstrated long-standing leadership and service beyond his professional career. Mark served on the Board of Directors of the Miami University Alumni Association from 1994 to 1998 and was elected President during his final year. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Sigma Phi Epsilon Housing Corporation.
Today, Mark remains actively involved in a variety of civic, athletic, and faith-based volunteer organizations, reflecting a commitment to community engagement and service that mirrors his professional values.
